To help ensure the safety and well-being of our attendees, we ask that you please read our terms and conditions carefully.
WAFF values the diversity of our modern society, particularly within our furry community. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals involved with WAFF, including staff, volunteers, attendees, and dealers. We are dedicated to ensuring positive, fair, and equal treatment for everyone, regardless of age, race, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
WAFF operates in full compliance with Australian Law, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). All products sold and services offered at WAFF must adhere to the legal requirements set forth by the ACL. Additionally, any businesses involved with WAFF must conduct their operations in accordance with the ACL.
The behaviour of all individuals at the WAFF convention—whether staff, volunteers, attendees, or dealers—must comply with Australian law throughout the event.
WAFF is committed to promoting a respectable public image for both the convention and the furry community. All representations and activities associated with WAFF must adhere to Australian law and be viewed as safe and consensual.
Everyone involved with WAFF—whether staff, volunteers, attendees, or dealers—is expected to contribute to and uphold this positive image for both the furry fandom and the convention.
West Aussie Fur Frenzy Lite Edition (WAFF-LE) is an event organized by the Perth Furry community, for the entire community. The WAFF team is committed to providing an enjoyable and safe environment for all attendees. To ensure this, we ask that everyone follows our policies, terms, and conditions to help create a positive experience for all participants.
Any actions or behavior that interfere with event operations, cause discomfort to other attendees, or negatively impact the relationship between the WAFF team, attendees, guests, the venue, or the public are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in the confiscation of event passes, immediate removal from the event and venue, and suspension from future WAFF events.
Upon registration at the front desk, adult attendees will be required to present a valid photo ID. Entry will only be granted upon agreement to the terms and conditions of entry. Attendees must carry their photo ID and wear their Event Pass (wrist band) at all times within the event space and be prepared to present them upon request by WAFF staff. Any defacement or alteration of Event Passes may render them invalid, resulting in refusal of entry and confiscation of the Event Pass.
The WAFF team is committed to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees; however, we cannot assume responsibility for the actions of individual participants.
The WAFF organizers reserve the right to deny or revoke the registration of any individual at any time, particularly if the individual violates the policies, terms, and conditions agreed to during registration. Additionally, WAFF organizers reserve the right to amend these rules at any time without prior notice. For any questions, please contact WAFF directly at info@waff.net.au.
By accepting an Event Pass, attendees agree to indemnify and hold harmless the WAFF team from any claims for personal injuries, damages, or other legal actions arising from activities at WAFF events, even if such injury or damage is caused by negligence on the part of the WAFF team.
Any attendee found promoting explicit, illicit, or adult-oriented events using the name of West Aussie Fur Frenzy or any WAFF team member’s name will face removal from the event, confiscation of their Event Pass, and potential bans from all future WAFF events, depending on the circumstances.
Any person under 18 years (Minor) attending the Event must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (Guardian) whilst at the venue.
A minor must not attempt to purchase a Ticket for this Event without the prior consent of their Guardian.
Any minor attending WAFF-LE without a guardian, will be refused entry to the event.
Any guardian accompanying a minor at the event accepts and approves these Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Minor and agrees to assume all liabilities, loss and costs of the Minor that arise as a result of these Terms and Conditions, the minor’s attendence at the event and entry to the Venue.
Any clothing worn at the Event may be worn in accordance with the following:
Any accessories (harnesses, collars) may be worn at the Event in accordance with the following:
The following items are strictly prohibited: Pup hoods, leashes, and handcuffs specifically for fetish or sexual gratification purposes.
Whether an outfit or item of clothing adheres to these conditions is ultimately at the discretion of WAFF Staff.
It is illegal to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 (with a potential fine of $2,000) or for a person under the age of 18 to purchase or receive alcohol (with a potential fine of $2,000). These rules are enforceable by law under the Liquor Control Act 1988 (Section 122, as amended) in Western Australia.
Smoking and vapeing is strictly prohibited in all areas of the venue, including individual rooms. Attendees who wish to smoke must step outside and are respectfully asked to avoid smoking near entrances, as smoke can easily carry indoors.
Please remember that you are a guest of the venue, and other guests who are not attending WAFF may also be staying or dining on the premises. As a courtesy, we ask that you maintain a noise level appropriate to the time and place. We expect all attendees to cooperate fully with the WAFF team, local security personnel, and venue staff.
"Disorderly conduct," which includes fighting, inappropriate horseplay, or any actions that cause undue disturbance or disruption to WAFF events or venue operations, may result in the revocation of your event pass. This rule also applies to behavior within the venue's facilities.
Throwing or dropping any items, including paper airplanes, from balconies or patios within the venue is strictly prohibited.
The use of water pistols, silly string, or any other projectile-type toys is not allowed in any public area of the event space or accommodation facilities.
If the WAFF-LE team decides to revoke an Event Pass due to a disruption, we ask that attendees respect this decision, which is always made after careful consideration.
WAFF reserves the right to mediate and moderate its online social platforms at the discretion of the WAFF moderators. Platforms such as Facebook, Telegram, and Twitter are used by WAFF to create a space for the furry community to socialize, share ideas, and engage in discussions.
Topics that WAFF generally considers appropriate for these forums include:
WAFF reserves the right to remove content or block individuals if their behavior or posts are deemed aggressive, destructive, or otherwise harmful to the safe and social environment of the forums.
Discussions on the forums may cover topics outside these guidelines, as long as they remain respectful, do not spread misinformation, and are not deemed inappropriate by WAFF moderators.
Any behavior that causes unnecessary disharmony or pushes an agenda that threatens the safe and social atmosphere of the chat will result in the removal of content and potential removal of the individual from WAFF’s online social spaces. This decision is at the sole discretion of the WAFF moderators.
If you are unsure whether your conduct violates these conditions, please reach out to a WAFF moderator. They are always happy to provide guidance.
If you wish to promote a business (e.g., art commissions) or a social group or activity, please seek approval from the WAFF moderators beforehand. Failure to do so may result in the removal of your post from the forums.
Individuals in costume or fursuits must not engage in any physical interaction with others without their express consent. Additionally, they may not interact with anyone under the age of 18 without the explicit consent of the minor's parent or legal guardian. Similarly, attendees must not engage in physical interaction with individuals in costume without the express consent of the person in costume.
Any violation of this policy may result in the suspension of attendance. If the situation involves a potential criminal offense, the WAFF organizers will notify the appropriate authorities for further investigation.
Harassment of any kind, including physical assault, deliberate intimidation, rumor-mongering, image sabotage, stalking, verbal or sexual abuse, or unwelcome attention, will not be tolerated. If someone requests to be left alone or says "no," you must cease all interaction with them immediately. Claims such as "I thought they were only joking" or ignorance of the request will not be accepted as defenses. Do not follow or attempt to disrupt their experience. Failure to comply may result in removal from the premises and a ban from future events.
The WAFF team is not responsible for resolving interpersonal disputes between attendees. The responsibility for addressing personal conflicts rests solely with the individuals involved. WAFF can only take action to exclude someone from the event if they have made a specific, credible threat to the safety and enjoyment of the event or the local furry community, or if they have violated our terms and conditions. As commonly stated within the Furry Fandom, "We are not the Furry Police."
If you believe there is a credible threat against you, we advise contacting the authorities or obtaining a restraining order against the individual and presenting it to the WAFF team before the event. If you encounter such issues at the convention, report the individual to a member of the marshals team, and appropriate action will be taken. Conversely, any attempt to falsely accuse an innocent person of threats will be considered harassment and will be addressed accordingly.
Harassment also includes, but is not limited to, the unnecessary reporting of attendees for alleged violations of terms and conditions, or engaging in "paper terrorism"—the act of submitting excessively lengthy complaints or accusations of misconduct with the intent to overwhelm WAFF resources and pressure WAFF into capitulating to demands. Any individual found attempting to coerce WAFF into acting on their behalf or for their benefit will be considered to be harassing the WAFF team and will face disciplinary action.
All pre-registrations are fully refundable up until a specified cutoff date, typically set approximately two months prior to the convention. This cutoff date will be announced through official WAFF channels during the year. After this date, refunds will no longer be available due to commitments for purchased materials, venue payments, and finalized itineraries. In rare circumstances, exceptions to this policy may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with the WAFF team retaining sole discretion in these matters.
WAFF does not facilitate registration transfers to prevent potential ticket scalping.
The WAFF team will not engage in financial disputes between individual attendees and cannot disclose personal information about attendees, except to banking officials or legal authorities.
The WAFF organizers may provide a message board in a public area of the event where attendees can post messages, announcements, and other information. Please be aware that all postings will reflect on the WAFF event as well as the Australian Furry Community. The WAFF organizers reserve the right to remove any materials deemed inappropriate.
Do not affix anything to the walls of the event space, accommodation facilities, or elevators. Promotional materials for other events, goods, or services may not be displayed around the event space, venue, or surrounding areas without express, written consent from the WAFF team prior to the event.
Inappropriate materials must not be placed or left anywhere within the convention space, hotel, or surrounding areas.
All merchandise trading must occur exclusively within the designated Dealers Space and is subject to the rules governing that area. Only individuals with a valid Dealers Pass are permitted to conduct trade, and only at the specific location assigned by their pass. Persons attempting to sell merchandise outside of the designated Dealers Space may be required to purchase a Dealers Pass and adhere to its associated rules, or their attendance passes may be confiscated, and they may be escorted off the venue.
Den is to adhere to a strict M rating. No sexualised nudity (e.g. exposed genitalia) is permitted for display.

Persons attempting to sell merchandise outside of the designated Dealers Space may be required to purchase a Dealers Pass and adhere to its associated rules, or their attendance passes may be confiscated, and they may be escorted off the venue.
As a WAFF dealer, you agree that all goods and services offered are appropriate for the convention. Items deemed objectively indecent by WAFF staff must be removed from display. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including suspension or closure of the dealer's table.
WAFF offers a limited number of Dealer Registrations, subject to available space. By purchasing a registration, you agree to operate a business relevant to the convention and to use the table for the majority of the event. Leaving the table empty or unused for extended periods may result in a ban from future dealer registrations and, if necessary, immediate confiscation of passes and removal from the event.
Dealer Table applications are subject to approval by WAFF. If your application is unsuccessful, you will be notified. Successful applicants will be contacted for payment and added to the WAFF Dealers Telegram Channel. Approved dealers may have their tables revoked if deemed necessary by WAFF.
Dealers will have 1 to 2 hours to set up before the Dealer's Den opens on the first day, and 30 minutes before opening each subsequent day. Additional setup time may be granted at WAFF’s discretion. Dealers are not permitted to enter the Dealer’s Den outside of these hours unless expressly permitted by a WAFF Dealers Den Staff member, and must be escorted and supervised.
Dealers are prohibited from generating fumes, excessive heat, open flames, or allergens at their tables. Compliance with health and safety codes is required, including prohibitions on gas or electric cooktops, high-temperature devices, and other practices that could harm others. For any uncertainties, contact the WAFF team in advance.
Items not on display must be stored under the table or outside the Dealer's Den, such as in your room or vehicle. The area behind dealer tables may be used for crafting but must remain neat and presentable.
Dealers are responsible for leaving their table area clean at the end of the convention. Failure to remove all items and debris may result in a cleaning fee.
Dealers must sell their own creations or display art with written permission from the original artist. Plagiarism and art theft, including stolen artwork, tracing, photoshopped art, or recoloring, are not tolerated. Dealers found engaging in art theft will have their registration revoked and will be banned from future WAFF events.
WAFF does not support the use of AI image generators for creating artwork for sale at the convention. Vendors using AI tools other than image generators should contact us before selling such wares.
No depictions of sexual activity (whether explicit or implied) are permitted for display.
Non-sexualised nudity (e.g. depictions where genitals are absent, and no sexual themes are present) is permitted for display.
R18 content may be kept in a closed folder clearly marked as containing adult content, not to be displayed at the front of a table but kept within reach of the dealer at all times.
18+ attendees may request to view this folder, and dealers will be responsible for ensuring that they have sighted the attendee’s wristband to confirm it is an adult band.
If any minor requests to view the folder, the dealer is to notify the den manager immediately and is not to present the folder for viewing. WAFF staff will be responsible for disciplinary action in this case.
Final determination as to whether an item adheres to the rules above will be at the discretion of the den manager.
Failure to adhere to these terms may result in disciplinary action, including revocation of current registration and ticket, bans from future WAFF events, or compensation claims.
Dealers must sell their own stock of their own creation. WAFF takes plagiarism and art theft very seriously. Artists must be selling/displaying art of their own creation or other artists' stock with written permission from that artist. (Examples of art theft include, but are not limited to Stolen Artwork, Tracing, Photoshopped Artwork, and Recoloured Artwork.)
Dealers who are found to be committing art theft will have their registration revoked and banned from future WAFF events.
Any creative works you present, including but not limited to photographs, videos, audio recordings, music, or drawings, will remain your copyrighted material. WAFF will not claim ownership of these works. The WAFF team will ensure that your material is used in accordance with fair use or Creative Commons rights and is presented legally and fairly. By participating, you grant permission for the WAFF team to re-transmit these creative works as described above and accept responsibility for any associated rights issues.
Cameras are permitted in the Event Space with the following exceptions:
Photography and videography are otherwise allowed throughout the event at the discretion of attendees.
Excessive photography or videography setups that negatively impact the experience of other attendees may be restricted. If your setup is deemed excessive or disruptive, you may be asked to pack it away and refrain from using it. Please adhere to all directions provided by WAFF staff in this regard.
All journalists, media photographers, and members of the press are required to display an official WAFF Press Pass or be accompanied by a WAFF Committee member at all times while within the venue. Media representatives who do not have a Press Pass are prohibited from conducting interviews or capturing photographs, audio, or video footage.
Attendees must act responsibly around media personnel. Report any unbadged or unescorted members of the press to WAFF Marshals or staff immediately. Avoid engaging with any media representatives who do not display proper credentials.
Attendees should be aware that audio and/or video recordings may be made at the event, and their likenesses may appear in these recordings. By attending, individuals consent to the use of their likenesses for promotional purposes without compensation.
The WAFF team grants permission for videos and photos taken at the convention to be used for private and/or non-commercial purposes, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. Any clips exceeding this limit that are not officially released by WAFF will be reported, and bans may be imposed at the discretion of the WAFF team.
While personal memories are encouraged, it is a copyright infringement to release any performance material not created by you, including but not limited to comedy and musical performances. Any violations will be reported to the appropriate authorities and may result in criminal charges and suspension from future WAFF events.
The sale or distribution of illegal or controlled substances is strictly prohibited at all WAFF events.
Individuals found distributing such substances will be removed from the event and reported to local authorities. While bottled alcoholic beverages may be legally given as gifts, the WAFF team requests that beverages purchased from outside sources be consumed only in the privacy of accommodation rooms and not in any event space.
It is important to note that providing alcohol to anyone under the age of 18, whether knowingly or unknowingly, constitutes an offense under the Liquor Control Act 1988 and will result in involvement of the authorities. Individuals hosting room parties are responsible for ensuring that all attendees are over the age of 18, even if they are not consuming alcohol.
The minor and the guardian acknowledge and agree that the minor must not at any time attempt to obtain or otherwise consume alcohol and the guardian must not supply or attempt to supply alcohol to the minor at the event or at the venue.
The WAFF team enforces a strict weapons policy, which will be upheld at all times. No weapons or items easily mistaken for weapons may be carried, whether openly or concealed, within the event space. This includes objects such as training weapons, padded swords, and striking implements, which are not permitted in any event area.
Weapon replicas may only be worn as part of a costume during the Fur Suit Walk and other WAFF-organized costuming activities, at the discretion of the WAFF team. Such replicas must be cased or otherwise secured when being transported to and from these activities. If you have any questions regarding the permissibility of a prop for your performance, please contact WAFF prior to the event.
Any items held or used in a manner that could be perceived as threatening will be considered weapons.
Should you be instructed by the WAFF team to remove any of your props from the event space, you are required to comply with these directions immediately.
To ensure the safety and well-being of attendees, and to uphold the Terms and Conditions of the event, WAFF reserves the right to refuse or revoke the registration of any attendee if deemed necessary by the WAFF team.
Attendees who violate the Terms and Conditions or commit any actions that in the opinion of the committee members jeopardize the well-being or safety of attendees and/or staff may be removed from the premises and have their registration revoked.
The WAFF team reserves the right to refuse or revoke the registration of any attendee if deemed necessary to ensure the health and safety of staff and attendees. Those who become ill prior to or during the convention are advised not to attend. Instead, please notify the WAFF Team by email after the convention to discuss potential refund or partial refund options. Providing a medical certificate to substantiate your claim is recommended. WAFF does not condone the deliberate attendance of individuals known to be suffering from a contagious disease.
WAFF encourages all attendees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to receive their annual cold and flu vaccinations. This is the best way to support public health at conventions.
For certain panels, the panel host may request that face masks be worn during attendance. WAFF will support and enforce this decision for the relevant panels.
If you cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition, you must present a valid medical certificate, along with a photo ID to verify that the certificate is yours. Claims without supporting documentation may be refused entry.
If you feel unwell, please leave the convention space immediately. Attending the convention while knowingly unwell or infected may result in disciplinary action by WAFF.
The WAFF team reserves the right to amend these policies, terms, and conditions at any time without prior notice.
